Little Boy Blue

His name is Elroy...for the moment.

He's a HOOT!

And he's the only one left in this litter.

Poor baby...

He's the runt of the litter.  But don't let that fool you!  He is such a ham!

My two sons were here this weekend (college age +), and my youngest helped me take pictures of this litter of puppies to update for their new owners.  Of the six puppies in this litter, all have been spoken for except little boy blue here.

"Elroy" was in fine form.  He only stood still ONE TIME!  And of course the camera was out of focus at that moment.  But I eventually got enough photos that I could work with.

One picture that did NOT make the final cut is the one below.

My son was swirling his hand above the pup's head, whistling and trying to get his attention....

And Elroy jumped and twisted and was a whirling dirvish!

We laughed so hard!!  I just HAD to share this picture with you doxie lovers.

I know...it's rough to look at being out of focus, but it perfectly portrays his movements.

"Wink" Saturday!

It's not Pink

It's Garnet...lovely dark RED!

I know, it's supposed to Pink for Pink Saturday, but well, I don't have much pink around my home.

I have 2 sons, 3 nephews, and only ONE step-daughter, so I don't have a lot of pink.

Will you still let me join you???

I wanted to share my Garnet.  Garnet the puppy!!

She is one of a litter of 6, but I need to take some pics of her for her new owner.

She has a sister named Scarlet that is a bit smaller than she is! And there are 4 other babies in this litter too.

My husband helped me with taking pictures.  We even tried to get her to pose from a teacup, but she's a bit too big for that.  And, I'm still trying to get my lighting figured out for my photos.  Maybe I'll have a better setup next time I post.

Garnet is the birthstone for January, and one of my favorite stones too, so I have a lot of this color in my decorating.  I notice too that I wear this color a lot. 

Well, I hope I'm still allowed to join the Pink Saturday Party...

New Life!

We have new puppies to show you! Our red brindle Rosie and our English cream Crescendo are proud to announce their newest babies.

Welcome to Petal and Thorn!

They arrived on May 18th and will be ready for their new homes the middle of July. It looks right now as if they will be shaded creams.

French Teacup for Tuesday!

This little cup and saucer is one of my very favorites. It has a dark red lacy pattern around the edges and a grouping of pretty flowers on the inside of the cup and center of the saucer.

I can usually remember when and where I purchased things, but this one I just can't remember. It has the letter 'D' on the bottom of the cup, and a knight with a shield labeled

French Saxon China, Union Made, USA

the name of the pattern is Burgundy Lace.

Perfect name!

We are expecting puppies any moment here, our Rosie is due today, and she'd been off her feed for the last day or so. She is HUGE! I'll try to post some pics of her pups when they're here.

Isn't She Adorable?

You know, I can't decide if I should keep this little girl or not...she's just so cute! She's from our very own stock too. Her grandmothers are Prelude and Minuet, and her grandfather on both sides was our Metronome! We are really proud of the grandbabies, and this one in particular. I guess time will tell. I always have one it seems that I wish I'd kept...maybe this one I actually will!!
