Demi Tasse set #2

Some day...it will be quite a few days into the future, I will be a grandmother of a little girl or two who might want to join me for a Tea Party!  Nothing 'brewing' as of yet, but we've got lots of time.
In the mean time, I'm collecting sets of cups and saucers in the 'Demi Tasse' or small cup size for that happy day!!  I hope I have granddaughters...with 2 sons and 3 nephews, I just don't know!!

The Pink Demitasse has just a hint of pink on the outside...it looks like it could be a reflection from the pink doily beneath it it's so light...
It has some beautiful flowers inside, just where you can enjoy them while drinking your cup of hot tea (or as I prefer coffee, perhaps a nice hot cup of coffe on a cold morning!).

The pink is so delicate that you can't even tell it's there in this picture, but it is! A very very light pink on the outside rim of this saucer.  So delicate and pretty!

The markings on the bottom reads: Old Ivory, Syracuse China
OPCO made in America
I think the handle looks like a bat wing!
The gold gilt around the edges and on the handle are thick and perfectly painted.
I think I'll rank this one as one of my favorites!  Oh my, now I have a LOT of favorites!
And more to go next week!!!

I'm joining up with these wonderful Tea Parties this week.  Please go by and visit each one and check out all the beautiful blogs that are joining in the parties.

Hi Doni,
Your little demitasse is simply adorable! I love it! How pretty and delicate the shade of pink; perfect for a little someone someday! I am going to be blessed with my first granddaughter in December; the first girl after seven boys! Yes, I'm excited!
Thank you for sharing your darling little teacup and I can't wait to see the rest.

Blessings,
Sandi

Hi, Doni,
Every time I see your beautiful header, I smile. Hang in there, I am sure you will have some little girls to enjoy a tea party with. I have two sons, but both of them have presented me with some sweet granddaughters to enjoy the "girly" things with. Of course, I am very thankful for my grandsons. Your tiny cups and saucers are so sweet and feminine, love them all. Happy Tea Time to you~love and hugs always~Vicki

HI Doni...oh, I love your demi-tasse cups!!! So lovely. I think I saw the hint of pink you were talking about ;) :) :) I bought my first ever demi-tasse at a yard sale and wrote about it for Tea Tuesday a couple of weeks ago. It was a really neat find...and they're such interesting teacups!!! I hope you have granddaughters one day, too...so you can have tea parties with them :) :) :) Have a lovely week, Doni. Love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :)

Oh, I forgot to add that I like the group photo with all your teacups, saucers, doilies etc...I was really intrigued by the "square" teacup. Will you be sharing about that one sometime? I've never seen a "square" one before...It looks lovely as do all the others :) :) more hugs from Oregon, Heather :)

What an adorable little demitasse cup and saucer! Just such a delicate shade of pink. It is nice to see that it was made right here in America.

With 2 daughters and 4 granddaughters, I know how well smaller cups and saucers are important for tea parties.
Your demitasse sets are pretty and hopefully one day will be used for a tea party with little people. (If you catch the boys young enough they like the tea parties too - mostly for the food though)

Hi Doni!
What an adorable little teacup! So dainty and sweet!! I would say the handle looks like a fairies ear or angel wing :-) No bats allowed HA!
I hope you gather a nice collection to share with your future grandaughters!!
