Teacup Love

When you see a teacup and saucer, do you think, I just have to have that one?  Or do you see all teacups and saucers as "must have's"?  I have to say, I am picky.  If I don't like it, I won't purchase it.

This one is a very pretty flowered cup and saucer.  The inside of the cup has two floral motifs in it, I guess one for a left handed person and a right handed person to drink from and still enjoy the image!
I saw a beautiful set of teacups and saucers on ebay that I almost bid on...except for the fact that the teacups only had outside images on one side of the cup!! And that was only showing if left handed persons were using the cups!  Am I wrong?  Don't you think a cup of tea should at least have an image on the side where a right handed person would use it?  Now I don't have anything at all against a left handed person.  Some of my favorite people are left handed, but I'm just asking a question.  What do y'all think?

This little gem was found at a yard sale.  I just love yard sales.  The more the better!
Be sure and come back tomorrow evening and hook up with me for Pearls and Lace Thursday!!!
I have a GORGEOUS hand painted bowl to share with you that you won't want to miss!!
Blessings!
Doni

Lovely little teacup, Doni! I never buy anything that I don't like. I have to LOVE it and cannot live without it before I buy anything. I have friends who buy just because it's a good deal, but not me! I'm not a shopaholic and never will be. I enjoy shopping for home items very much but when I don't see anything that strikes my fancy, I leave it there. Thanks for sharing your sweet little cup and have a wonderful evening.

Blessings,
Sandi

Hi Doni...

Ohhh...I adore your pretty teacup! I really like all the different colored flowers! Hehe...I guess I really never thought about it before...which side of the cup that the pattern is on! Of course, I have just recently begun looking for teacups! I will certainly be paying more attention now! I do really like a cup when it has the pattern on the inside as well!

Thank you so much for sharing your new pretty with us...such a treat, my friend! I'll be back to see that new bowl as well!

Warmest wishes,
Chari @Happy To Design

Hi Doni!

What a lovely tea cup. Tea cups are a great seller in my shop. I'm always so amazed at the choices people make and what they collect. They certainly are little treasures. Good choice...Enjoy! Karen

Hello Doni- Your teacup is so sweet. I also love a good garage sale. I never gave much thought to the right handed left handedness of teacups before, but you are right. I am right handed but drink my tea left handed. Take care.
