Vintage Rust and Chippy White Paint

This is my mother's beautiful urn. If I remember correctly, she got it from my Grossmutter (grandmother), her mother, and has moved it numerous times, from house to house, then from one spot in the yard to this spot. It's no easy task to move this urn, it weighs a TON! It's made up of at least 3 pieces, possibly 4, and each piece by itself weighs a ton!! I actually remember it being all white and shiny in the garden, but now the aged patina on it is lovely, don't you think?
I have a new outlook on this rusty and chippy garden urn...I used to think it needed to be painted again, made new and shiny looking, but now that I've started to see all of your beautiful blogs, I have a brand new (though belated) view of the rust and chips! I think it's beautiful now! I wouldn't change it a bit!!!
I think it urned (urn humor) the look over the years!!
Hope you enjoy!
I plan to connect with everyone for White Wednesday over at
fadedcharmcottage.blogspot.com
Be sure and check out everyone's posts!!
Also, be sure and join me here TOMORROW for
Pearls and Lace #4! I will have the Linky up and running Wednesday evening, so get out your jewels and lace and show us your beauties!!
Blessings,
Doni

I wouldn't change it either...
Gorgeous patina...
A beautiful piece,
especially since it has been part of your family for so long.
A real treasure,

What a fabulous urn! I think it's so very special that it was your grandmother's urn. That is just awesome.

Glad I found your blog, it's great.
