Pearls and Lace, My Favorites!

Can You Smell The Roses?

I just can't get enough roses in my life. My wonderful hubby has transferred our rose bushes from one house to another, and they flourished! UNTIL....the dogs began to root them up so they could lay in the cool earth around them. It seems like no deterrent can stop them. They are huge labs, and I don't care for their ways.
So...my wonderful hubby has given me roses for my birthdays for a number of years! I've carefully dried each one, and now they are an unending reminder of his love.

The teacup and saucer are my favorite. I don't know where I found them, but their beauty is also a way I enjoy my roses. Have I told you how much I love roses?? You'll probably see a lot of pictures of roses on my blog as time goes by...but they're not my only favorite!!

I'm sure flowers of all kinds are loved by all people, but I like particular ones over others, as I'm sure you do! I love blues and purples, so hydrangeas are another favorite. I've never seen hydrangea teacups....hmmmm. Anyone out there have any? I'd love to see them!

I'm joining Sandi at Rose Chintz Cottage for Teatime Tuesday.
I don't like hot tea, but hopefully the teacup won't mind!
Perhaps some coffee???

Hi Doni,
What a gorgeous teacup! Would love to sip tea or coffee from that pretty thing! I love roses too and what a wonderful idea to dry the roses which your hubby gives you; so romantic! I have added your link to my post.
Thank you for joining me for Tea Time. Folks like you are who make it that much more enjoyable. I must tell you though, my link under your post isn't working; perhaps if you delete the www, it would work better. Have a wonderful week, my friend.

Blessings,
Sandi

Your roses on the cup and saucer are very pretty and look like they are hand painted. I know exactly what you mean about digging dogs! But I love my dog anyway! ♥♫

Doni,
I too love roses but do not have the space to grow them so........ I have a lot of tea cups with roses on them and a lot of roses everywhere else! I really enjoyed my visit here today!
I hope that you are still going to do Lace and pearls on Thursday because even though I was not able to join in previously, I dug out all of my vintage doilies and have a lot of lace to share!

Love your teacup! It is so pretty! Sorry the labs dug up your roses, but treasure them while you have them. My much-loved lab left me two years ago and I still grieve for her every day!
Blessings to you, Beth

That is a gorgeous rose teacup! Wow! Do you know where it was made? I would love to see the backstamp on that one.
How wonderful that your husband gives you roses and that you keep them. What lovely memories.
Thank you for joining in Tea Cup Tuesday.
Hugs,
Terri
