Would You Like Flowers or Animals with Your Tea??

Silly I know, but sometimes I just can't remember to get my pictures of my teacups done in time for the Tea Parties on your blogs!!  I wait until evening, then the lighting inside the house is awful....actually it's ALWAYS awful...it's so dark in here.
But I had just enough sunlight to take a cup and saucer, a small book of poems, and run outside with my camera a few moments ago so I could join the party and share some pictures with you all.
My husband is a plant lover.  He surprises me constantly with flowers...usually in pots!
The purple star shaped flowers made it through the frigid cold of the winter and now are blooming and growing beautifully!  I decided they would make a pretty spot to begin my teacup pictures.

Next stop was the ONLY rose I have in bloom at the moment, but I'm sure that will change daily.
It's the Tropicana Rose my husband brought home to me a long time ago, in a pot, and we even moved it from our first home to this one.
But inquisitive B'Lou kitty decided she liked tea, or at least wanted to smell it. (It's really empty, but I didn't tell her that).

Then I meandered over to what we affectionately call the 'Medusa' Bush.  It has beautiful blossoms on it, and when he brought it home, my husband told me it would grow to be a large bush.  It seemed like it grew overnight into a HUGE bush, almost up to my neck, and many feet around.  It has so many branches, we thought of Medusa, and the name stuck.

Now.  About that time, Glory (or Gorey as I call her), decided to join me, and by the look on her face wanted me to know how much she liked tea.

I declined to allow her join me.
And below are the Hydrangea bushes that my next door neighbor allowed us to move over to our house.  His mother loved these, and since her house is no longer standing, we asked if we could have the hydrangeas.  They are white, and when they bloomed last year they were gorgeous.  So beautiful in fact that when they dried, I went over there and cut off the dried blooms.

I have enjoyed these dried blooms SOOO much this last fall and winter.  They are my 'go to' flowers for many of my vignettes of photos for my blog posts.  You just can't go wrong with the lovely coloring, and I have a lasting memory of the beautiful blooms year round.

Before I add the parties I'm joining, I want you all to know that I'm having a Giveaway in conjunction with the Pearls and Lace Thursday party I host here on Thursdays.  I will be adding more items to the box as the month goes by, and there are lots of ways to join me.  Please see this Giveaway Post Here for directions, and remember to please link back to the post to be entered if you join the party.

Your teacup is very pretty. How can you say no for tea to that sweet face that posed for the camera? :-)

Goodmorning - I have to share that when my husband and I were in our young married stage we moved to a townhouse - we must have looked at it at the right time and with blinders - we later called it the cave because it was so dark -
I actually tried to get my daughter's cat curious about my tea - but she wouldn't cooperate! Your cat is gorgeous! Love your dried hydrangeas - I love that flower! I guess there's not a flower I don't love! Thank you for sharing this lovely post with A Return to Loveliness!
God Bless,
Kathy

Good morning Doni,
Your flowers are lovely and I love hydrangeas too, dried or fresh! You have a very handsome cat and who could say no to that cute face of Gorey's? Your teacup is very pretty and looked nice with every flower. Thank you for stopping by to have tea with me. Wishing you a delightful week.

Blessings,

Your teacup is pretty, but I really enjoyed your post showing Glory "Gorey" & B'Lou. Our pets do make life more entertaining, don't they?

You have roses in bloom? Is it spring where you live, really?

Hi Doni, I have just been reading back on some of your older posts and have seen the pic of your gorgeous cat and dog. I LOVE LABS ! I don't own one now but I grew up with one when I was a child. Her name was Sunshine and she was Retriever cross Labrador and she was just as her name suggests.....Sunshine !
You and I have 2 more things in common ! Is your cat a Burmese ? She is so pretty xo
