Waking Up From a Summer Hibernation!

Waking up from a long hibernation!
That is from hibernating all summer!  But it's Fall now, and the weather here in Texas has FINALLY cooled down!  I'm so happy now!  And awake.  At least for now.  You see weather here can still be hot in the middle of December....yes, December.  When I was in college I remember wearing SHORTS to my finals in December, getting in the car to travel home, and hitting the cold front on the way home (to the Dallas area from the Houston area).  The temps dropped about 50 degrees, and that was the end of those shorts!

But, now that summer is over and Fall is here, it's time for me to get back to posting and hosting!
I will be hosting Pearls and Lace Thursday again starting this week!!!
Get your posts ready and I will have mine ready to post mid-week.
I have really missed y'all!!  I still Pinned a lot this summer, and I also poked around visiting y'all's (can I do that with those apostrophes??) blogs.  You have been busy!!  AND, I have a lot of new followers!!! Welcome to all of you!!

So, I have a few pictures I'd like to share today just to get back into the swing of things.
Friends are few and far between, and I do mean FAR between, but they can feel so close sometimes.  Email and blogs and cell phones now bring those far away people close to home.  It used to be said that the world is getting smaller (meaning distance isn't what it used to be to travel or connect), and I see it getting smaller almost daily.  This year I have made some wonderful friends through blogging, and I am very thankful for all of their input and support, prayers and fun.
One special friend sent me this lovely Limoges powder jar that she and her sweet daughters picked out for me.  I was elated!  And I showed the jar on my craft room reveal post.  But I wanted to show it again and thank Beverly again for such a lovely gift.  Many thanks to you Beverly for your gift and your friendship!
Blessings, Doni

Oh, this is beautiful. It would go nicely in my new living room with turquoise colors.

I never knew HOT weather really until I moved here to South Texas. We both made it through another HARD and very HOT summer. YAY!!! One to Fall..... Hugs, Beverly
