Pearls and Lace Thursday #126 Creamy Pearls and Lace

If you've visited my blog any before, you know how much I love Pearls and Lace...
Well, my favorite theme is what I'd like to share with you today.
The latest finds from Etsy, Ebay, and Estate Sales!
We reached the low 80's today, and expect garage sales and yard sales will be plentiful soon...
I just hope I can wait!

One of my favorite things to do is to spread out the new pieces of laces and linens, pearls and buttons that I've collected, and display them in all their beauty.  I have used a foam board with old dictionary pages glued (with modge podge!) to it to make a vintage background.

The eyelet pieces above are aged to perfection...the staining only making them more beautiful and appealing to me.
I love the creaminess of the colors, variations of whites that make my heart happy!

Mother of Pearl buttons in an old mayonaise jar...

I scored a few pearl necklaces at an estate sale last Friday....Could you hear me singing?!!

I love the way a bit of rusty goodness gives these pieces the aged quality I desire so much.
They just look loved to me.

I am just delighted with these goodies.  After a week of being dejected because an estate sale opened early (you know who you are!!), and the big tray of pearl necklaces was already taken (you know who you are too!!), I was so hopeful that this next week would be a good one.  I was so excited to find that the sale was starting at the time posted!!  I didn't mind standing in line and it was so worth it!
Now realize, not all the sales I find have goodies, sometimes nothing.
And, the laces are all from either ebay or etsy shops.  But there's just something about the hunt, the find, and the excitement of owning something beautiful that I can share with you!!

I have some exciting news!!
Some of my previous posts have been featured!!

Oh, Doni, what a beautiful presentation of your latest finds!♥ I certainly enjoy photos of piles of gorgeous lace (and pearls!), but I also love seeing the individual pieces in all their glory. What a lovely job you did--and what a glorious new collection! I hope it makes up a little bit for the disappointment you experienced last week. xoxo

Gorgeous lace pieces, Doni! I certainly would have been delighted too if I had found them. I can hardly resist pearl necklaces and MoP buttons either. Have fun on your next hunt ...

Such gorgeous pearls and heavenly laces, Doni!
I found a few pieces at an antique store today. I wil have to show them next week...I DIDn't go to the antique show in town today because I was trying to be a good girl....the fabric covered box was still at the store for $20, one drawer and the hinged box that opens on top....are you looking for any more? ! I love the old stained laces too, and to think I got used to get rid of those things when I was younger and din't know better!
Take care,
