Pearls and Lace, My Favorites!

Pearls and Lace Thursday 109 Drawers of Lace

As promised, here are the laces in organized drawers from my collection of fabric covered sewing boxes.
The boxes are displayed on shelves in my craft room (click on the picture of my craft room on the sidebar to see them all), and are one of the first things you see when you enter the room.  It has taken me a looooong time to collect them, but I'm a real fan of the used and worn fabrics from way back when.
The beauty of the laces in the drawers though, well, I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves.

I think this photo shoot has been one of my top faves to put together.  Perhaps it's because of the subject matter...Laces, Pearls, Buttons, Silk Ribbon, and Vintage Thread Spools...

Next week I will be sharing another vignette I staged of these same drawers, just a simpler grouping. And the following weeks I will be showcasing the laces OUTSIDE the drawers.  I hope you come back to visit, but in the mean time, won't you join me for Pearls and Lace Thursday??  Just copy and past your url code for your post to the link button below and let us see your pretties!  Thank you to each of you who joined me last week!  I'm so honored to have to come by!

Blessings,
Doni

I have collected everything old & vintage since I was 21, (now i'm vintage ) however I have decided I am selling off everything EXCEPT my lace, and Mother of pearl button and all my drawers of colored buttons. I will keep my old thread spools which I have several of also

after seeing your pictures this convinced me to get rid of the rest in my studio

Oh, how I love this. I would love to just play with that lace. . . I'm a hoarder of laces and ribbons. Just wish I had mine better organized, like yours is. The boxes are a wonderful idea, and they're so pretty too! Thanks for sharing.

Doni,
This post is so lovely, I was just perusing it again. I LOVE your tapestry pictures! Did you find those in frames or were there fabric you cut and put into frames,\? They are so gorgeous! along with EVERYTHING else in the icture! I would love to hear abour them from you! Your dried pink roses are just gorgeous as well. I'd love that size of rosebush. I have mini and I love those but a sweetheart rose rosebush would be fantastic! Also, your scripture cards....do you makke thos yourself or did you happen to find multiple sets in different colors?!!!! I see blue and pink and cream or white cards different places on your bolog and I wondered if you made them yourself!!! I would believe it! I have some scripture ccards I ahve had for years and I have thought about getting them out and using them occasionally with posts.
Anyway, good to see your posts as always, I ahve beena blog slacker lately, too many other things needing to be tended to!
Take care,
Hugs,
Betsy
