The Lace Bag.
Crocheted with love I'm sure. Was it used to carry to Church? Or maybe it was crafted to be carried by a beloved daughter on her first date?
It's many years old, and it was found in an old sewing box full of lovely lacey items that I recently found.
Part of the allure to me is the vintagey staining and discoloration.
I think it is going to be one of my favorite items now!
Among the piles of hand-crocheted trims was this wooden piece, above.
Does anyone know what this is? A primitive needle threader?
A lace maker? I have no clue, although I've seen them before.
Lots of unique items were in the basket that I found as well.
More to come tomorrow!
I'm joining up for White Wednesday at
today to share these pretty whites.
Come back tomorrow evening and Thursday as I share all the pictures of my finds in the vintage sewing basket. There is a love story in there that just melted my heart.
This was such a huge find for me! I am SO loving vintage sewing items right now,
and next week, I hope to show you my newest and bestest find!!! (hint: it will be well worth the effort to come back!!).
Be sure and get your post ready for Pearls and Lace Thursday tomorrow!
Until then,
Blessings,
Doni
