Button Joy!
I don't know why I love buttons!
I don't know why I love buttons!
Maybe because as a child, like many of us, I loved going through the 'button jar' and looking for treasures. Those shiny bits of color, some singles, some threaded together with some sturdy string, some not so pretty, but all there in the precious button jar.
No, these are not from my mother's button jar. These are some I've collected along the way.
These are the rhinestones and pearlescent ones I'm using for my pillows recently.
Aren't they fun??

Wow, what gorgeous buttons, Tamara x
you have a beautiful button collection. and those puppies are adorable!
This is a gorgeous collection! I used to love to go through my grandma's sewing box and play with all the pretty buttons. Thanks for the smile.

Love your collection of buttons, Doni. I have a few, too, but I think your collection is much better. Happy PS. Merry Christmas, and God bless
Your button photos are beautifully done! I will pay more attention to the buttons I often see at the estate sales I frequent. About 20 yrs ago I bought an extension ladder (yes, an important new homeowner purchase!) and the estate sale clerk gave me a wonderful vintage button shaped like a calla lily! I have never been able to use it on a garment as it is too big for the button holes! I will have to find it and figure out how to display it. Thanks for the inspiration!
Gorgeous photos of beautiful buttons. What could be nicer? I love buttons too and have a huge collection. I definitely need to start sharing more pictures too :)
oh my.... not sure if I did that correctly...just wanted to enter your cute button contest~~
Happy PS!!
Smiles,
Kay Ellen

What a beautiful collection of buttons. I'm just finding you but my favorite buttons are actually in my post today. Some from a flea market and the big white (mother-of-pearl I believe) came from my hubby's grandparents 200yr old farmhouse. Enjoy and have a Merry Christmas! Lisa
Hi Doni, Found you via Martha's blog. I love buttons and have a fair collection too. If I weren't busily getting ready to go on furlough I'd shoot some pix, but we are missionaries in Ukraine and furlough is something we have to do every few years. I loved all the sparkle. I'll have to look for some of those when back in the states. I"m following, would love it if you followed back.
Blessings, Coleen
Thanks for following on my blog Doni. That brought be back here today and I had a little time to enter your linky. Also, going to post your blog on my Facebook "Like" page where 185 other followers visit so maybe it will bring a few here. Blessings on your day.
